justin bobby was on the hills premiere...briefly.

gah! as of yesterday, all of my stuff is officially moved out of my apartment, which is both relieving and weird at the same time. that shit was like the loaves and the fishes, i swear- the more that came out, the more that there still was to move. but it's over now, and that's the hard part. that is, until i have to move again- whiiiich will hopefully be very soon.

as expected, the high strung's library show was nothing short of amazing. i'm on the hunt for good pictures from it, as the couple i took didn't do it justice. books were knocked off shelves, children were dancing, and jacob and i contributed to the audience-created song at the end of the set by wielding egg shakers filled with lentil beans. yep. as the lead singer wrote in a blog i just discovered on their myspace,

We finally had our first show ever in New Hampshire... after 8 years on the road... you'd think we played all of them, every city, every state. But it's not true and two nights ago we checked New Hampshire off the ol' list. The place looked mostly like what I thought it would... infinite trees... small towns scattered... small highways... thruways... something like Vermont maybe and a little less dense than say Maine. But the show... something I've given up prediciting... was incredible.

The perfect audience! Kids, teens, adults, older people... like the library was rendered a gallactic meeting room... all ages represented... and we played hard and by the end Chad was on a staircase and I was standing on a chair in the audience and Derek was making cartoon faces and it was just great. THANK YOU to New Hampshire (the Amherst Town Library)...We're gonna go back... met a great photographer... met great people... just not sure when yet. If you get the chance to play up there, I recommend you do it...

hell yes, new hampshire is amazing. i actually feel like i've been appreciating this fabulous state more lately, seeing as i spent a good portion of the last week in downtown nashua. one night at this great hole-in-the-wall sports bar called the garden with kat, where i downed $1 beers, we sat by the bathroom the whole night, and i learned the intricacies (err, simplicity) of shuffleboard. random, but good stuff. then the next evening i had probably the best bbq chicken sandwich of my life at one of my favorite microbreweries, martha's exchange. yum!

is anyone else loving the amazing VMA promos with russell brand and britney spears? bitch looks GOOD. "it's not russell brown, britney..." so funny. i just really wish she was performing so there could be another horrendous one a la last year.

OH, and i totally bought a hanson ticket for their foxboro show in october. no, i'm not kidding, and even better, it'll be my third time seeing them because they're fierce and amazing. i was on the fence about going because i didn't know where i was going to be, but when it was announced that everybody else was opening for them, i was SOLD. erica's going with me. it's going to be the best night of my life, i'm predicting. almost.
