always where i need to be

lots going on!

first off, i'm pretty psyched and starting to believe that all of that stuff from "the secret" is starting to work. or maybe not. either way, while i'm still desperately searching for a job, i got a paid freelance position writing for the NH Visitors Guide about entertainment venues in the state. yes sir!

i went strawberry picking at this great farm in hollis the other day, and despite staining my new sandals by accidentally stepping on squished berries (smart move, i know), it was such geeky fun. and they have cherry picking in july! hooray.

...and this past saturday, i went to my cousin anna's high school graduation party. good times. as with any of my family get-togethers, it included a kitchen dance party to "superfreak" and "it's raining men" along with my aunts and cousins...complete with putting cake frosting on our noses and holding flowers in our teeth. anna's friends even joined in and proclaimed it "the best graduation party ever!" of course it was...my family don't play. i tried my hand at volleyball for the first time since middle school and surprisingly didn't suck as much as i used to, and also discovered the wonders of "rock band," where i sang to foo fighters' "learn to fly." i'm addicted to this damn game, and need it immediately.

we've been having thunderstorms here for the past two days, and it's absolutely lovely. it's the only time i reeeally enjoy rain.
